Liquid Sunshine is a must-read for any age

Liquid Sunshine is not your typical romance novel. It touches on the relationship between two young lovebirds and their relationship with God. Liquid Sunshine was written by a Norfolk State University alumnus, Justin C. Hart. The novel is loosely based on an experience he had while a student at Norfolk State.
Jayden Rockaway is a handsome, charming senior at New Norfolk University. He could have any girl at NNU, but there is only one girl that he's had his eye on for the past year. His crush, Lydea Mireina, is a beautiful, book-smart junior at NNU. Jayden felt that she was out of his league, but he finally got the chance to talk to the girl of his dreams during a study session in the university's library.
Jayden and Lydea's friendship soon blossoms into a young romance, but Jayden could have never guessed how tumultuous the relationship with the girl of his dreams would be. Against Jayden's wishes, there was a third unwanted party involved in their relationship, Jason. Jason was Lydea's best friend and also the root of many of Lydea and Jayden's problems. Jayden tries hard to deal with the emotional rollercoaster he endures while in a relationship with his girlfriend. He not only has to battle with another person for his girlfriend's affection, but he must also deal with how the relationship is taking a toll on him and his once strong relationship with God.
Throughout the novel, Jayden juggles school, his relationship with Lydea, Jason's unwanted company, and his flailing relationship with God. Liquid Sunshine is an emotion-filled novel that any reader could relate to and will have the reader anticipating each new page and chapter waiting to see what will happen next. The chapters are fairly short and include a breakdown at the end of each chapter to explain what happened in the chapter just read.
Overall, Liquid Sunshine is a read you definitely won't forget.
